Shannon Court Guest House Terms and Conditions
Cancellation: your reservation is made with Shannon Court Guesthouse ("the guesthouse") and represents a legally binding contract between you and the guesthouse. For bookings of 2 rooms or more, and/or 3 nights or more, and/or special events,exhibition periods and public holidays, we require a minimum of 28 days notice of cancellation or amendment of any reservation to avoid a cancellation charge of at least 50% of the total value of the reservation. For other bookings a minimum of 7 days notice is required. At the sole discretion of the proprietors, the charge MAY be waived in part if we are able to re-let the cancelled room(s) in part, and WILL be waived in full if the total value of the booking can be replaced in full. Please note that DISCOUNTED RATES FOR LATE BOOKINGS are non-refundable under any circumstances. Please note offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or special package rate and that ALL special offers or discounted rates exclude Friday and Saturday nights . We require a valid credit card to secure bookings and reserve the right to charge the card for cancellations falling outside the permitted time scales, as detailed above. By entering into this contract you are authorising us to make the above charges to the card without any additional consent being required. The Guesthouse rates may vary from time to time and Guests are advised to consult with the reservation desk. Accommodation rates are per room per night, English Breakfast included.
Car Parking: The guesthouse does not accept responsibility for damage to, or for theft from, or for theft of vehicles parked on guesthouse premises.Insurance: Guests are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
Children: Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure that the children´s behavior is appropriate for other guests within the guesthouse.
Disabled Guest rooms: As needs do vary, Guests are requested to check when making the booking and identify any specific requirements.
Arrivals: Rooms Ready from 3pm/ Departure by 10am.
Dogs and other Pets: Pets are not accepted at Shannon Court.
Behaviour: The guesthouse reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of Guests or their representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the gueshouse. In the event of failure of the Guests or their representatives, to comply with management requests, the guesthouse may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.
Discrimination: It is the policy of the guesthouse not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age ethnic origin or disability. Guesthouse employees and all sub-contractors engaged by or on behalf of the guesthouse are expected to adhere to this policy and the guesthouse may without incurring any liability to Guests, remove from the guesthouse any person or persons offending against this policy.
External purchases: No wines, spirits, beers or food may be brought into the guesthouse or grounds by Guests or their representatives for consumption or sale on the premise without the express written consent of the guesthouse and for which a charge may be made by the guesthouse.Comments and complaints: In the unlikely event you are disappointed with the guesthouse any comment or complaint regarding your stay should be made in writing within seven (7) days of departure to the guesthouse Management.
Statutory requirements: The guesthouse is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by Guests and their representatives.
Liability: Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the guesthouse, the guesthouse´s liability to the Guest is limited to the price of the Booking. The guesthouse does not accept responsibility for damage to the Guest´s possessions, or for theft from the room(s) where the Guests are residing.Unless the guesthouse is liable under the above clause, the Guest indemnifies the guesthouse from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the Booking, the Guest or any outside contractors of the Client.The guesthouse will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control.
Damage: in the unlikely event of replacement, cleaning or repair being required to any item(s) belonging to the hotel, or the fabric of the hotel itself, because of wilful damage, or damage incurred because reasonable precautions have not been taken, we reserve the right to reclaim all and any costs incurred including loss of business by charging the credit card given to secure the booking, without prior consent being required. Invoices will be supplied to support the claims/costs charged.
Smoking: All bedrooms are non-smoking. We reserve the right to charge an extra night's stay(at the prevailing B&B rate and using the credit card given to secure the booking) if we have to clean and air the room.
Third Party Rights: The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to this contract.
Law: Any issues arising out of these booking conditions shall be deemed to have existence in England and be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of English Courts.
The guesthouse reserves the right to change these terms from time to time.
